About
EEG Paradox Solutions
Rigorous, transparent EEG and qEEG acquisition, processing, and reporting in Asheville. We stay in our lane — clean data and clear reports; clinical interpretation is for licensed professionals.
Our Mission
EEG Paradox Solutions exists to provide rigorous, transparent EEG and qEEG data acquisition, processing, and reporting. We stay in our lane — recording and structuring brain activity data — so that you or your clinician can interpret it in context. No diagnosis. No treatment. Just clean data and clear reports.
Our Approach
- Signal quality and artifact awareness from setup through processing
- Multiple recording protocols handled in one workflow (resting-state, ClinicalQ, multi-site, task-state)
- Multiple normative frameworks — the one used for your report is always clearly labeled
- Deterministic, reproducible processing: same inputs and settings produce the same outputs
- Structured reporting that is technical enough for professionals and understandable enough for motivated clients
- Clear boundaries: we acquire and process data; clinical interpretation is for licensed professionals
Scope and Boundaries
We are deliberate about scope. Data acquisition and informational reporting is what we do, and we do it well.

About Ryan Ellis
Ryan Ellis is the founder and operator of EEG Paradox Solutions, based in Asheville, North Carolina.
Over the past 17 years, Ryan has worked in and around the neurofeedback and EEG field — not as a licensed clinician, but as the person building and maintaining the systems that clinicians rely on. His background is in network and systems administration, and he spent years serving Focus Centers of Asheville, where he managed infrastructure, developed EEG/qEEG processing tools and analysis methods, and trained clinicians on their use.
That experience shaped EEG Paradox Solutions: a service built on technical rigor, clean data workflows, and respect for the boundary between data acquisition and clinical interpretation. Ryan builds the tools and runs the recordings; licensed professionals interpret the results.
When he is not working with EEG data, Ryan continues to develop custom analysis pipelines, connectivity tools, and reporting systems that push the field forward — including the EEG Paradox Decoder, a pattern-detection and interpretation-support platform used for structured EEG review.
