What happens during a session?

Small electrodes are placed on your scalp using conductive gel. You'll sit comfortably while the system records your brain's electrical activity for 10–30 minutes, typically with eyes open and eyes closed segments. The process is completely painless — no electricity is delivered to your body.

How should I prepare for my session?

Wash your hair before your session and avoid hair products (gel, spray, oil). Avoid caffeine for at least 4 hours, alcohol for 24 hours, and recreational substances for 72 hours before your appointment. Eat normally, sleep normally the night before, and continue taking any prescribed medications. Wear comfortable clothing.

Every scan includes an informational brain activity report at no extra charge. Additional options include raw EEG data files, fully processed quantitative data, a detailed clinician-formatted report, and topographic brain activity maps. Report delivery is typically 3–7 business days.

Can my clinician use these reports?

Yes. With your written authorization, we can send raw EEG data, processed files, and structured reports directly to your clinician. We also offer Data & Trend Consultations where we discuss findings with your clinician in objective, quantitative terms.

Do you provide neurofeedback?

Yes. We offer neurofeedback training sessions in 30-minute and 60-minute formats, with real-time EEG monitoring and audiovisual feedback. Neurofeedback is a training process — your brain learns through repetition and reinforcement, not through any external stimulation or medication.

How long until I get my report?

Standard report delivery is 3–7 business days after your session. Rush processing (24–48 hours) is available for an additional $50.

Do you bill insurance?

Yes. EEG recording is completely non-invasive. The sensors are passive — they only detect electrical activity, they do not produce any. The only potential discomfort is minor skin irritation from the conductive gel, which is temporary and rare.

A hospital or clinical EEG is a diagnostic procedure interpreted by a neurologist or qualified physician for medical purposes. Our service is data acquisition and informational reporting — we record and process brain activity data using professional equipment and deliver structured reports, but we do not provide medical diagnoses.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes, with at least 24 hours advance notice. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may incur a $50 fee. No-shows may be charged the full session rate. We understand that things come up — just let us know as early as possible.
